Networking Times – One more dream came true

Attract a Great Teacher, Then Become One Yourself

In the early years of my network marketing career I gave incredible presentations that lasted at least two hours. I had an amazing closing rate of close to 50 percent. The only challenge was that my business was not duplicating because everyone wanted Magic Mikko to do the presentations. I couldn’t understand how others were killing it and going up in the recognition ranks while I was stuck at middle management levels, even though I was the best closer on my team.

Thanks to my upline and mentors I started to understand that in this business we need to be good at teaching and we don’t have to be the best sales guy out there to make it to the top. Actually, quite the contrary. Duplicating simple basic steps over and over again is the name of the game.

One of the biggest preconceptions in our business is that prospects think that sales people are the most successful. That’s just not true. Normally sales people are good in getting many customers and new distributors into the business, but they often lack skills in duplication. School teachers on the other hand learn how to sign up a few customers, but are very effective in teaching others how to do the same. This is of course the aim of the business.

Our business is very simple: all we need to do is learn how to make a few customers among people we care about and then teach a couple of distributors to do the same. And duplicate this over and over again until we have turned our dreams into reality. This would work even if we were dealing with robots. The challenge is that many times people make it complicated in their mind. This is also what makes our business fun and worth striving for.

The best way to become an effective, respected teacher is by practicing. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. What also helps immensely is to find a mentor who has already reached the level you want and has the results, versus someone who is just reading from the books but not necessarily practicing what he or she preaches. The good news is that if you work with an ethical company you will always find a mentor; sometimes you just have to look high enough.

Whether I’m giving a one-on-one coaching session to one of my team partners or giving a presentation to 2,000 people, the one who always learns to most from it is myself. The more you teach, the more you learn and develop. The more you coach and present, the more disciplined you become in practicing what you preach because the message embeds deeper and deeper into your subconscious mind.

As the teaching goes, we need to put 10,000 hours into anything we want to become professional at. This means that for us to build a huge business, not only do we need to put in our 10,000 hours of becoming a great teacher and mentor, but also we need to duplicate the same with our team.

If you want more milk, you need more cows. In other words we need to let the birds fly free from their nest. The best way for your team to learn and develop is by becoming more independent.

I have been a serial entrepreneur for over ten years and have been a shareholder in approximately 20 companies. I have witnessed ups and downs in companies in a variety of business sectors over the last few years. This period in my life has taught me a lot more than all the schools I ever went to.

What I love most about direct sales is that we get to practice all the best sides of owning a business without having to concentrate on the more unpleasant stuff, such as logistics and invoicing of goods, to name a few.

Most importantly in traditional business we are often left alone with our thoughts and problems. That can be very expensive. I would have saved millions during my career if I’d had a mentor helping me who had already made it to the top of the game in the same industry.

In direct sales, it’s important that our mentor not only talks the talk, but the best ones are also willing to walk the walk together with you all the way to the top or as high as you are willing to go. Conversely, when looking for new people to mentor, I’m scouting for five characteristics or habits in people:

  • You are hungry and ambitious.
  • You are proactive, take responsibility, and focus on your circle of influence.
  • You commit to working the plan continuously for a minimum of two years.
  • You attend all events I attend and do at least one hour of personal development every day.
  • You call me more often than I call you.

If you want to attract a great teacher or mentor, be proactive: raise your hand high in the sky and use your voice to make sure you are noticed.

What is Your relationship with money?

For many people, their ideas about money seem to be based more on emotions than knowledge. This has led to the situation where money is mostly used with emotion rather than sense.

“Pay in, pay out” is a familiar saying to many people, but what is more worrying is that many will accept this state of affairs until the end of their life. It doesn’t need to be like this. There seems to be a lot of mystery concerning money and the earning of money. Over the years I noticed that the things I learned could benefit many people. The starting point is that each of us earns money, uses it and needs it. Money is, therefore, very important in our lives; whether we like it or not.

But first ask yourself a few questions:

Why do you want money?

What do you need money for?

What is your relationship with money?

Do you attract money or do you repel it?

What do you think is the best way to get more money?

I have been a serial entrepreneur for over ten years and have been a shareholder in approximately 20 companies. I have witnessed ups and downs in companies in a variety of business sectors over the last few years. This period in my life has taught me a lot.

I grew up around money. I spent my childhood in an unusual environment in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. I went to a private school and I had very affluent classmates. We spent summers in Europe and Scandinavia, but always when it got colder we returned to sunny Dubai.

After this rather carefree “MTV” lifestyle spent in Dubai, my mother, my sisters and I decided to move back to Europe, when our parents got divorced. This was depressing for me.

In my twenties I lost my motivation to study. I have never been very interested in how things work in theory and I was unable to find any practical courses about finance at my school. One day I received a magical call from an old friend and I ended up working with a company in the direct sales industry – an industry that is based purely on practical action and, most importantly for me, helping others. I began to study again, but a rather different kind of literature. Books that I had never seen in school. These books talked about personal growth, leadership, attitude, the creation of a new state of mind and so on. I also met a lot of people who taught me how money is made and how to invest it.

I underwent my own lessons in investing and learned how money is lost by investing in poor opportunities. As I went through these lessons I began to realize how important it is to try to automate your income and I learned to appreciate this skill.

Most people are “satisfied” with the income they receive from salaried work. Normal work means that people exchange their free time for money. So, in effect, you are rewarded 100% for what you yourself do. I was taught a different kind of thinking: what if you could earn one percent of the work of one hundred people? And what if each of these hundred people had ten, twenty or thirty customers and, on a monthly basis, you could also earn money when these customers use products and services? This is called automated income.

I have always wondered why people get used to their income level and accept it and somehow give up striving for anything more. I have always wanted to show people that there are also other possibilities and anyone at all can achieve wide-ranging success, if only they are ready to develop their own attitude. I want as many people as possible to understand that everything is possible.

My mission

I started as a Zinzino partner in the summer of 2011 with the mission to help as many people as possible to take control of their finances. First of course I had to help myself. This was not easy since I was going through two bankruptcies at the same time and my expenses from them were around 10,000€/month. So I needed a lot more than an average income to just break even. How can a company give you the opportunity to create such good rewards?

In direct sales companies you get to practice all the advantages of entrepreneurship without any financial risk. And there is no roof on your income. You are paid purely on you and your teams’ performance.

I also believe that direct sales companies are the best in teaching personal development skills by providing incredible trainings and tools for entrepreneurship, sales, investing and leadership to name only a few. By implementing this knowledge into practice I got myself up after financial crisis and bankruptcy. With Zinzino I can represent two world leading brands in rapidly growing trends: coffee and balance.

In 2012 together with Zinzino we started a new mission to create health and wellness. Zinzino and Bio ActiveFoods started a cooperation and ZZ bought a part of the company. In 2013 my team and I again got a new mission when Zinzino launched the US market. The results has shown that Americans have over twenty times more plant based oils (Omega 6) in their body compared to fish oils (Omega 3). And unfortunately in Europe we are not off the hook because we have on average over 15 times more of omega 6 in our cells. (A ratio below 5:1 Omega 6 : Omega 3 fatty acids should be the target ratio for Nordic nutrition) -Nordic Council of Ministers, Nordic Nutritional Recommendations, 2005

For years healthcare has focused on medication, but most of the problems can be avoided with education and better diet. Now in 6 months my team has partners and hundreds of customers in several States in the USA. At the moment the most active ones are California and Florida. I also have teams and customers in Finland, Estonia, Sweden and Latvia. I am so proud of my passionate, ambitious and very hard working team.

As a team we are strong and I believe we should continue to help as many people possible achieve balance and start a business venture that has the possibility to give you a lifestyle most people just dream about.

I believe that now it´s the perfect timing for joining and working in this fantastic profession. Zinzino is growing rapidly and opening new markets is faster and more simple with our amazing products – it gives you the opportunity to eventually build a global business. And the best part is that we can prove the effectiveness of the products through a simple blood test.

In the next few weeks we will start our pre-launch in Poland and Holland. I’m so excited about that because my team and I will for sure also be expanding there.

If you´re not already a customer or partner, take a look at this video to find out how easy it is to find out if you are in balance and how to get there if you are not: Zinzino Balance Movie

I am so grateful for this opportunity because in just three short years my business has grown to over 10000 active and happy customers using our products daily. And the exciting part is that we are just in the very beginning of our mission and journey. This business is incredible and I can now live a dream lifestyle with my family and work Zinzino for a lifetime as my hobby, passion and love for the “sport”.

Are you the designer of your own life? – Zinzino

Mikko Jarrah has been a serial entrepreneur for over ten years and now he is one of the top leaders in Zinzino. In this blog article, Mikko explains the importance of taking responsibility for your own life and how direct sales help change people’s lives- not only financially.

“This is life changing business development. It’s not only about the money. It’s about who you become – who you are as a person. You are the designer – the Michelangelo of your own life.” – Mikko Jarrah

Am I happy?

Am I doing things that I love?

Do I have support from my family and friends?

Can I spend my days as I want?

Can I travel where I want?

These questions I asked myself several times some years ago and I received some vague answers.

Later I realized that I have done a lot of work to get to this point where I have this incredible lifestyle and now I can say that I am happy. At the end of the day all we want is to be truly happy, healthy and loved.

As a direct sales professional I meet several people daily and I like asking questions.

During the first 5-10 minutes with a new person I often realize that most people don’t have any big plans in their life, or the plan is designed by someone else:

Society, parents, spouse, boss or their high school teachers and friends.

There is nothing wrong with this kind of lifestyle, but many people often get depressed at some point and might get pretty lost in their lives when they find out that they are living someone else’s dream.

Don´t you want to take responsibility of your life and get even more out of it?

Who is really leading you and your thoughts?

Your boss, your spouse, friends, parents, the bank, media, society or you?

If you live your life for yourself, you need to think about what makes you happy.

This is life changing business development. It’s not only about the money. It’s about the person you become along the way.

The real deal is when a shy person who used to pretend to be sick at home when he had to give a presentation in front of his own school mates, one year later after working in direct sales gives a key note speech in front of 1000 people – mostly strangers – and doesn’t feel any abnormal sense of nervousness – that person was me.

There are countless inspiring stories of personal development in this profession. Negative people turning positive, sad people turning happy. In general you are stretched to expand your comfort zone and develop into becoming a better person. Satisfaction kills development and in this business – we are satisfied, but not content – because there are always more to accomplish and more people to help reach their goals.

And that is the reason why I love what we do.This business is helping you achieveyour maximum potential. You are the designer – the Michelangelo of your own life.

Learn to achieve your goals faster

“No one lives long enough to learn everything they need to learn starting from scratch. To be successful, we absolutely, positively have to find people who have already paid the price to learn the things that we need to learn to achieve our goals.” – Brian Tracy
